UPDATE! In response to the Colorado Springs tragedy, Contigo has shifted the focus of our year-end campaign.
Honoring the self-determination of the impacted community members in Colorado Springs, and in the spirit of Contigo Fund’s own roots in the Pulse tragedy, The Colorado Springs Solidarity Fund has been established to offer support to our siblings in their greatest time of need. This is Orlando’s opportunity to stand in solidarity and provide financial assistance to community rebuilding efforts.
We urgently need your support. Donations made to Contigo Fund will bridge the gap between the emergency needs of the impacted community leading into the holidays and ongoing recovery efforts. As is Contigo’s tradition, those most impacted by the Colorado Springs tragedy will have final decision-making power in using the funds.
Contigo has devoted $25,000 as matching funds thanks to a special grant from Funders for LGBTQ Issues’ Out in the South Initiative so that all dollars raised up to that amount between now and the end of the year will be doubled! That means that 100% of your donation – plus a dollar-for-dollar match – will go to our LGBTQ+ siblings in Colorado Springs. Because we know how important it is for communities to determine their own path of healing, Contigo Fund is committed to serving as a resource, not a director, for your donation once it’s invested.
