QLatinx is a community-led racial, social, and gender justice organization dedicated to the advancement and empowerment of Orlando’s LGBTQ+ Latinx community. Founded in response to the Pulse Nightclub mass shooting, QLatinx brings together members of the local community directly impacted by this tragedy to build a supportive infrastructure, address inequity, and promote inclusionary practices for local leadership and partnering agencies.
On the fall of 2016, CONTIGO gave QLatinx $15K emergency funds in order to address the immediate and urgent need for capacity building and community organizing in Orlando to empower and support community members at the intersection of LGBTQ+ and Latinx identities through leadership development, community and awareness building initiatives.
