Ashley Figueroa (She/Her)
Ashley is a natural born leader dedicated to fighting for trans rights. Ashley has extensive experience creating events that are impactful and unforgettable.She co-founded The Gender Advancement Project with Nikole Parker. Gender Advancement Project (GAP) is a Trans-led grassroots movement dedicated to the progression and inclusion of Transgender/GNB individuals in all facets of society.
Daniel Downer (He/Him)
Daniel Downer is a dedicated leader and advocate in the Orlando Community. He is the founder of Bros in Convo whose mission is to provide comprehensive health education, HIV/STI prevention and treatment linkage, and peer support to Black gay, bisexual, queer, and same gender loving (GBQ/SGL) men ages 18 – 35 living in Central Florida communities.
Gabriella Rodriguez (She/Her)
Gabriella Rodriguez has been working with Pulse affected communities with The Orlando United Assistance Center. She stepped into a new leadership role last year as the new Executive Director of Qlatinx. QLatinx is a grassroots racial, social, and gender justice organization dedicated to the advancement and empowerment of Central Florida’s LGBTQ+ Latinx community.
Gaby Montoya (She/They)
Gaby Montoya is the youngest member of our team yet at 22 she is already an Executive Director. She is the leader of Contigo Funds newest grantee the Orlando Queer And Trans Asian Association. OQTAA is an organization whose purpose is to bring together LGBTQ individuals of Asian descent in the Central Florida area, to provide a community for queer and trans Asians to celebrate their experiences and intersections.
Joel Junior Morales (He/Him)
Joel Junior Morales has served on the symposium steering committee in the past. He is a dedicated leader whose vision has changed and improved The LGBT+ Center Orlando, and advanced their mission to promote and empower the LGBT Community and its allies, through information, education, advocacy and support.
Josh Bell (He/Him)
Josh Bell is a community leader with strong connections to Orlando’s faith community. Under his leadership the One Orlando Alliance has continued to grow. One Orlando Alliance is a vital support network for LGBTQ+ organizations in Central Florida. They lower barriers, provide critical communication, and promote effective, influential, and sustainable opportunities for transforming the culture of the region.
Rebecca Desir (She/Her)
Rebecca is a passionate leaders who loves to put on events that highlight health and engage the community around small businesses. Her organization Black Health Commission has a mission to educate and bring awareness to the root causes of health disparities through programming, volunteerism and collaboration with other organizations
